2022 EndorphinGirl®, EndorphinKids® & EndorphinGuy® Year in Review

Dear EndorphinFriends,

The world is getting lighter!

In the words of one of the EndorphinKids® (EK) Mia, it's been another minute! It’s been a long long minute. We hope our EndorphinGirl® (EG) community is doing well. While we have been working on a number of different writing projects and other Endorphin related activities, we always love to reconnect with our community and promise we will be in even more touch as we move into 2023. You are always welcome to find us here on our blog or reach out to endorphingirls@gmail.com.

It seems that 2022 has gone even faster than 2021. EndorphinGirl® feels like Covid has accelerated so many things in our universe, even the movement of time.

Similar to past years, the EndorphinGirl® team has done a mental recap of 2022 activities and decided to share these thoughts on paper with you, our readers!

In 2023, we will be writing more about the adventures of EndorphinGirl®, EndorphinGuy®, whose been perhaps a bit to quite on the journey and of course the EndorphinKids®. Meanwhile, what did 2022 look like?

It was another challenging year across the board, across the globe but things have begun to normalize. Some call it a new normal. But really what is normal? Okay hold that thought for another blog, because EndorphinGirl® can go on and on and on about that topic.

Whatever the case, there are always, always, silver linings to be grateful for. In the words that follow, we share specifically what 2022 held for us, including the highs and the lows, and how we plan to keep our EndorphinGirl®, EndorphinGuy® and EndorphinKids® attitudes of gratitude while staying present and easing forward. We hope to have some cool insights and adventures and other offerings all things endorphins to share in 2023 as well.

Meanwhile, what follows is our endorphin year in review:

January started with EndorphinGirl® Barbara living in her winter rental on the Jersey shore. Daily morning jaunts to see the sunrise or afternoon strolls to see sunsets were a thing. Online yoga teaching continued with her regular students and a few new ones. The next level crystal training also started up through the Hibiscus Moon Crystal Academy. The EndorphinKids® were moving along with their stuff too. Mia was settled now and living in Finnish Lapland in a new area though also in the northern part, as she continued with her nature guide training, exploring the outdoors with required excursions, even in the frigid cold weather. Erik was now settled back living in New York City and not entirely convinced he was liking the cold weather again. Ah those Tucson, AZ winters were the best. In fact Barbara was feeling the same way about the winters.

February remained much of the same activity as the month prior for EndorphinGirl® and EndorphinKids®. With the biggest challenge getting used to the cold winter again by Barbara and Erik, although both loving their respective new home base locations. Mia on the other hand would chuckle when cold weather came up as a topic!

March came in like a lion as the saying goes. And keeping all things crystals in the family, EK Erik started employment with a diamond exchange trading company. EG Barbara continued with her regular activities including going deeper in demystifying some of her crystal learnings. EK Mia was still doing project work for the Canadian mining company in Lapland. Everything really is connected in the EndorphinFam™ - they sure do love their crystals.

April weather was one of the EndorphinFams highlight as the days were getting longer in New York and Finland. It was otherwise business as usual.

May is EndorphinGirl®’s favorite month. And it brought about one of the biggest highlights of the year, specifically for one of the EndorphinKids®, Mia, who opened up a wellness studio in Muonio, called Evergreens. The studio focuses on yoga and other holistic related courses. It has an amazing vibe. Barbara completed her Advanced Crystal Masters (ACM) program also in May, and is now a certified ACM with the Hibiscus Moon Crystal Academy. She loved going deeper in this program about understanding the science of crystal work, as well as all the amazing healing properties from both the science and metaphysical perspectives; and becoming equipped with different tools and purposes to work with the crystals.

June/July found EndorphinGirl® B back in Finland. A first stop to visit one of the EndorphinKids® Mia in Lapland. She had never been to Lapland before in the Summer. The mosquitoes were not as bad as she had always thought. She also got to attend a variety of in-person classes at Evergreens Studio, which was really cool. Yoga-teaching continued online a little as well, with the opportunity to teach some of the on-line classes from Evergreens Studio. Mia continued with her nature guide school as well as to teach classes at her studio. Erik was in full swing of work life in the humid New York City. Enjoying his own crystal connection through his work along with other respective endorphin-filled adventures and opportunities.

Barbara also met up with numerous friends both locally in Scandinavia and some who came for a visit to hang together, venturing to a variety of places in Finland and Sweden. EndorphinGuy® also briefly visited Finland unexpectedly and brought a tremendous amount of good vibing and exercise sharing ideas for the locals.

August included another proud accomplish for one of the EndorphinKids®, Mia, who completed her one-year nature guide program through the Finnish Forestry. If you are looking for a nature guiding, yoga teaching, amazing teacher, hit Mia up. Barbara got to teach an essential oils and yoga class at Mia’s Yoga Studio in Muonio as well. It was so much fun!

September included some crystal changes for the EndorphinKids®. Mia’s role with the Canadian Gold Mining company in Lapland concluded but it was timely given her work at Evergreens was expanding. She still has a penchant for crystals though. Erik was immersed in his diamonds work, while EndorphinGirl® Barbara had a chance to go out west with the original EndorphinGuy®, Jack Steel, horse back riding and ranch living for a week. She managed to teach a few yoga classes there as well, western style.

EndorphinGirl® also found herself now cohabitating with EndorphinGuy® in another part of the tri-state area wink wink since her winter beach rental fell through.

October EndorphinGirl® Barbara was invited back to be a coach/mentor again at The Healer Within Academy’ (THWA). A course she has participated in a few times during the past several years and highly recommends. The program focuses on uncovering imbalances in your seven main chakra centers allowing you to bring balance and harmony in your mind, body, and spirit. You will have read about Chakras in prior blog posts. But for a brief recap, there are seven main chakras situated along the spine, from the base of your spine to the crown of your head. Chakras are thought to provide subtle energy that helps your organs, mind, and intellect find their best level to work at. The word chakra stands for wheel or cycle.

The EndorphinKids® were also reunited when Mia visited for her college roommates wedding. EndorphinGirl® was delighted to spend what is sadly on average just one time in the year together as a family, but a welcomed early Christmas present.

The month concluded when EndorphinGirl® got to spend a week with her childhood besties in San Diego, CA celebrating a monumental birthday for the group. And EndorphinGirl® met Barbarella! Wow!

November had one main highlight with EndorphinGirl® Barbara participating in a crystal related workshop at the Amethyst House in Pennsylvania. One of the highlights of the weekend was participating in a structured painting session that allowed you to get to your creative best self. It was not for the faint of heart as it was not without some initial stress and frustration which turned out to be a very revealing part of the project.

December EndorphinGirl® Barbara’s coaching with THWA concluded. She loved the experience of participating in the growth journeys of over 50 women as one of the coaches/mentors. The program also brings her added learnings each year joins as participant and/or mentor. The EndorphinKids® won’t be together for Christmas with EK Mia spending it in Finland, but EK Erik and EndorphingGirl® and EndorphinGuy® Jack Steel will share the yule together. Mia will be missed.

Moving into the new year, EndorphingGirl® Barbara will continue with her business coaching, yoga and also plans some expansion with her crystal work. If you are interested in an in-person or remote session, check out services here

Unlike December 2022, when the EndorphinKids® joined EndorphinGirl® to ring in 2023, this year we are celebrating in different places but together in spirit.  While the start of every new year is exciting for some and perhaps hard for others - we are putting it out into the universe that 2023 will be filled with an abundance of endorphins, love, health, joy and whatever else your heart calls for.

We are grateful to have this opportunity to share our EndorphinGirl®, EndorphinKids® and EndorphinGuy® brands, health & wellness experiences and knowledge with all of our readers. Thanks for following us.

Sending you all best wishes. Stay tuned for our 2023 schedule! Meanwhile, keep those endorphins flowing, and stay bendy inside and out. Namaste!

With gratitude.
